Albana is deeply passionate about dismantling structural barriers and advocating for policies that empower immigrants and their children. Before joining MLRI, Albana worked as a legal writer for Mintz Levin, specialized in O-1, EB-1. Prior to her time at Mintz, Albana was an attorney in Albania where she worked for 8 years.

Albana holds a Master Degree in American Law (LLM) from Boston Law School. She also earned a Master Degree in National Security from Harvard University. Prior to her legal career, she worked for International organizations such as OXFAM, International Rescue Committee, and World Vision.
