Christy Rodriguez
Senior Immigration Attorney
Christy Rodriguez joined MLRI in 2025 as a Senior Immigration Attorney. Before MLRI, Christy worked at DOVE, a multi-disciplinary domestic violence organization in Quincy, MA. During her nine-year tenure at DOVE, Christy held various supervisory and staff attorney roles, including Director of the Legal Advocacy Program and Senior Immigration Attorney. In her immigration attorney role, she represented survivors of domestic violence in affirmative applications for victim-based relief, including asylum, T visas, U visas, SIJS, and VAWA. Before DOVE, Christy worked as a securities litigation associate at Ropes & Gray LLP, where she had a robust pro bono practice representing immigrant clients in affirmative applications for relief and removal proceedings. While at Ropes, Christy established a pro bono partnership with a local non-profit to provide screening and representation to low-income immigrant students to eliminate barriers preventing students from accessing financial aid. She also held a fellowship at Boston College Law School’s Post-Deportation Human Rights Project, where she provided legal representation to previously deported individuals and helped develop novel legal arguments to allow such individuals to return to the United States. Christy attended Boston College for her undergraduate and law degrees. In July 2025, she is expected to graduate with a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Warren Wilson College’s Program for Writers.
