Laure Mandiamy
Equity Intern
Laure Mandiamy is a junior at Tufts University pursuing a B.A in International Relations and a minor in French. Laure is an immigrant from Dakar, Senegal who currently lives in Bronx, NY. Outside of her classes, Laure takes part in Mock Trial, The Envision Black Theater, and participates in the Tisch Scholars Program. As a Tisch Scholar, Laure gets the amazing opportunity to work at different organizations that impact communities in Boston, like Enroot, an organization that helps immigrant youth with post-secondary success. Influenced by her identity and studies, her interests revolve around immigration, law, civil rights and advocacy. In the future Laure has aspirations to not only speak French fluently but also to become an immigration lawyer (as of now) so she has been invested in global learning. With her role as an Equity Intern at MLRI, she hopes to engage these interests more and understand the intersection of law and social justice.
