McKenzie grew up in the Pacific Northwest and graduated from Western Washington University with an individualized Bachelor of Arts in Law, Diversity and Justice; International Studies and Advocacy. After moving to Boston, McKenzie pursued a graduate certificate program at the University of Massachusetts in Gender, Leadership and Public Policy. Her previous work experience includes legal advocacy, victim assistance, public policy, and customer service. McKenzie has dedicated her education and work experience to social justice and advocacy, and hopes to pursue a career in public interest law.
