Erika is currently a 2L evening student at Suffolk University Law School. Apart from going to school part-time, she also works full-time. Erika is originally from Southern California and received her bachelor’s degree from UCLA in 2020. She majored in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations, and took 3 years of Russian language courses, culminating with a summer abroad program in Kazakhstan. After taking a break from school for several years, Erika decided to pursue her dream of becoming an attorney — specifically, an immigration law attorney. Erika is first-generation, Mexican American, and passionate about immigration law and reform due to her own personal experience with it. She previously worked at self-help clinics in Los Angeles, helping with intake and family law forms, usually by translating legal documents to non-English speakers.
