Janine is a third-year law student at Northeastern University School of Law with an interest in education and family law. Before law school, she worked as a substitute teacher in economically disadvantaged schools, inspiring her commitment to underserved communities. Prior to interning at MLRI, she gained experience in legislative advocacy as a legal fellow for Massachusetts State Senator Jo Comerford. Janine is a native of Florida’s Tampa Bay area and received a dual degree in history and psychology from the University of South Florida. During her free time, Janine enjoys cooking dinner for her friends and playing the guitar.
