Vivian Tran is a rising 3L at Suffolk University Law School. She graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Psychology and minors in Law, Values, and Policy and Business Administration. The daughter of refugees, she grew up translating and navigating systems on behalf of her family — work that long preceded law school and continues to shape how she approaches advocacy. At Greater Boston Legal Services’ Asian Outreach Center, she conducted immigration screenings, provided intake for Vietnamese-speaking clients, and supported legal research on various topics such as housing and habeas venue. She is a recipient of the Harry H. Dow Memorial Scholarship from Suffolk Law and holds fellowships from Equal Justice America and the Massachusetts Bar Foundation Legal Intern Fellowship Program. She has also taken her commitment to language access and representation to the policy level, submitting written testimony in support of S.1127 and H.1954, which seek to expand accessible legal representation in immigration proceedings. This fall, she will continue serving immigrant communities through Suffolk Law’s Immigrant Justice Clinic.
