Zahra is a Harvard Law School LL.M. graduate with a strong interest in immigration and public-interest law. Before studying abroad, Zahra worked as a corporate lawyer in Iran. Her own experience as an international student navigating immigration systems, together with witnessing the immigration challenges faced by members of the Iranian community, sparked her interest in immigration law. While at the University of Toronto, she further developed this interest through coursework in immigration law and gained practical experience working on immigration and administrative law matters. At Harvard, she continued to build her expertise in immigration law through coursework and her work with the Harvard Immigration Law Project, where she further developed her skills in supporting immigrants and navigating the U.S. immigration system. She also worked with the Cyberlaw Clinic, where she addressed legal issues at the intersection of technology, access to justice, and the interests of underserved communities.
Zahra holds law degrees from Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, the University of Toronto, and Harvard Law School. She is currently preparing for the New York Bar Exam and hopes to build a career in public-interest law serving underserved communities.
