BOSTON, MA (May 1, 2025) – The Massachusetts Law Reform Institute (MLRI) is announcing changes to its Board of Trustees, marking both a fond farewell and a warm welcome to distinguished leaders in the legal and advocacy communities.
Joining the Board are Hannah L. Kilson, Esq., Partner at Nolan Sheehan Patten LLC, and Aaron Lang, Esq., Partner at Foley Hoag. Hannah Kilson specializes in affordable housing and community development and is a respected leader in the Boston legal community, known for her commitment to advancing equity and opportunity for underserved populations. Aaron Lang focuses his practice on energy, environmental, and regulatory law, with an emphasis on clean energy innovation. He also maintains an active pro bono immigration practice, representing unaccompanied migrant children seeking lawful permanent residency in the United States. Aaron’s work reflects his strong dedication to advancing social justice through legal advocacy. Both bring extensive experience and a deep commitment to justice, strengthening MLRI’s ability to serve and advocate for vulnerable populations.
MLRI also extends its deepest gratitude to Dean Richlin, Esq., Partner at Foley Hoag, and Ron Marlow, Director of Workforce Development and Alternative Education at Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD), who have stepped down from the Board of Trustees after many years of service. Their contributions have been instrumental in advancing MLRI’s mission to advance economic, racial and social justice for low-income people and communities in Massachusetts.

At the same time, we are thrilled to welcome Hannah and Aaron, whose expertise and passion will help guide MLRI’s next chapter of advocacy.”
MLRI’s Board of Trustees is composed of attorneys in private practice, legal services attorneys, and representatives from community and client groups, ensuring that the organization’s work is informed by a diversity of perspectives and lived experiences. The addition of Hannah Kilson and Aaron Lang continues this tradition of excellence and commitment to justice.
